Following the launch of his third album “The Ballads of Archie Thompson” at a star-studded event earlier this month, Ireland’s favourite folk singer, George Murphy, has just announced the release of his latest single “The Star of the County Down”.

Featuring guest performances from John Sheahan and Barney McKenna of the Dubliners, the new single is a return to traditional roots for the 22 year old Dubliner, with a powerful vocal rendition of the classic song, teamed with the symphonic and energetic sounds of the Black Donnelly’s production team.
